Phono Pre-Amplifier

This circuit is a simple circuit that can be used to listening old vinyl discs from a well preserved collection. This circuit efficient for cheap moving-magnet cartridges. It can be used in connection with the audio power amplifiers shown in these article. It also has good RIAA frequency response curve,  good high frequency transients behavior due to passive equalization in the 1 to 20KHz range, low noise, and low distortion. Op amp received ± 18V supply of the transistor and associated components that improving headroom and maximum output voltage. Here is the circuit :

The schematic shows left channel and power supply. Numbers in parentheses show IC1 right channel pin connections. R3,  R2,  R4,  R8,  R7,  C5  &  C4 must be low tolerance types. And if we use this circuit for stereo operation R4, R7,  R3,  R2, R8, R1 ;  C5, C4 &  C1 ; J1 should be doubled. [Circuit’s schematic diagram source: redcircuits.com]
